![]() Of course 4K has more detail (possible) but that does not help if it is blurry and/or compressed to be worse. But I expect that is just how they have to use high compression for 4K. So I can only suggest that YouTube is not being kind to my video Plus, the original does not have any of that compression blur you observed either.Ĭoolkwad's video looks good - bar the compression blurring in trees once again. I have 6No Mobius cameras, plus three dashcams and two action cameras (including the GitUp G3) and I've not seen any of them resolve quite the amount of detail that I'm seeing in this original 4K file recorded by the F1. As you can see the F1 delivers much more detail than the dedicated dashcam with its F1.8 lens, although the A119 does have a wider FOV which does not help. I have also attached a 100% crop comparison between the two frames. I notice that my windscreen wipers are in good focus, which indicates that I probably have the focus set a little bit too close with this lens.įor comparison I have attached the same frame from my A119 dashcam, which was recording at 1440p. Note that the overhead road signs are easily readable from what is probably 60m or more away. I have attached the very first frame from that 4K video. Thank you for taking the time to review my video and comment. And anything further away is always blurred. But look at the first 3 seconds of your dashcam where the road signs can't even be read until within 10 metres approx. Their focal range (depth of field) seems to be something like 3metres to infinity. ![]() ![]() Gee, all three of my other (FHD) cameras give far better video that that! ![]()
